01 : ARRIVE DELHI
Capital of modern India "The Heart of India"

Day 02: DELHI Breakfast at the Hotel.Morning
sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting The Jama Mosque built in 1650 AD
after which you will take a rickshaw ride through the fabled Chandni Chowk
(Moonlight square) which is the main area of the old city. Also visit the
breathtaking Red Fort (1639-48) built by the builder of The Taj Mahal - Shah
Jehan, which is famous for its delicately carved inlaid and Royal chambers.
Then we proceed on to Raj Ghat - where the father of the nation Mahatma
Gandhi was cremated (1948 AD), Feroze Shah Kotla (1345 AD) - ruins of the
oldest fortress and also the Ashoka pillar (300 BC)
Afternoon
sightseeing tour of New Delhi, visiting Humayun's Tomb (1565 AD), aptly
called the predecessor of The Taj Mahal. Drive past Safdarjang's Tomb (1753
AD), the Qutab Minar 72 meters high and one of the most perfect towers of

Day 03 : DELHI-

Rest of the morning at leisure.Afternoon, you begin your

sculptures. We also visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari gardens, the Jagdish

04 : UDAIPUR
Breakfast at the Hotel.Morning at leisure.
In the
afternoon, we enjoy a motor launch cruise on the placid waters of Lake
Pichola. The beautiful Lake Pichola was enlarged by Maharana Udai Singh
after he founded the city. The city palace extends a considerable distance
along the east bank of the lake. From the boat you will be able to view the
city of Udaipur as it rises majestically above the lake in the middle of the
Rajasthan desert. One would get an interesting view of the Dhobi (laundry)
ghats. Also visit the Jag Mandir Palace - a lovely island palace in the
middle of the lake.Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 05:
UDAIPUR - JAIPUR Breakfast at the Hotel.Transfer from hotel to the

airport to HOTEL. Morning at leisure.We will also visit the unique Jantar
Mantar magnificent stone observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728. The
Hawa Mahal, the intriguing " Palace of Winds" is really a facade
built in 1799, to allow royal ladies to view the city from the windows.
Visit the City Palace, former royal residence built in a blend of Rajasthani
and Mughal style and its museums an excellent collection of miniature
paintings, costumes and armoury. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 06 : JAIPUR Breakfast at the Hotel.In the morning, we will
enjoy an excursion to Amer Fort 12 kms outside Jaipur. The original palace
was built by Raja Mansingh the additions were made by Sawai Jai Singh. One
of the finest example of Rajput architecture, it was the ancient capital of
Kaisshawah rulers. Enjoy the ascent to the palace on back of a brightly
caparisoned elephant..Afternoon free for Shopping Overnight stay at the

07 : JAIPUR- AGRA
Breakfast at the Hotel.We will drive from Jaipur
to Agra (221 kms/6 hours) enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. This deserted,
red sandstone city, built by Emperor Akbar, between 1570 and 1585, now glows
in its magnificent past. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza (The Gate of
Victory), set in the south wall. In the northern part of the courtyard is
the superb white marble tomb of Shaik Salim Chishti, built in 1570.
We
continue our drive to Agra and upon arrival check-in at: HOTEL .Afternoon,
we will visit the Taj Mahal (Friday closed) - one of the Seven Wonders of
the World built by Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his beloved consort
Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit one of the important architectural monuments in
Agra - The Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar, the maze of courtyards; mosques
and private chambers of the fort echo the story of the Mughal

Day 08 : AGRA - JHANSI -
ORCHA -KHAJURAHO Breakfast at the HotelTransfer from hotel to the
Railway Station in time for:

transfer from Railway Station to Orcha (12 kms/0.30 hours).Arrive Orcha &
proceed for sightseeing tour of Orcha. Overlooked by the modern era, this
beautiful medieval town, was once the capital of Bundela Kings. Built along
the banks of the river Betwa, flowing through a rugged century side, it
still retains the captivating air of a bygone era. Amongst the various
imposing edifices, of particular interest are the Jehangiri Mahal, built by
Raja Bir Singh Deo to commemorate the visit of Moghul emperor Jehangir, the
Raj Mahal and the Laxminarayan temple, both noted for their fine frescoes

09 : KHAJURAHO-VARANASI

tour of the famous Chandela Dynasty Temples which are set in a lovely grassy
park. The Temples are quite amazing - rising in many peaks and spirals,
intricately carved and designed with statues and friezes, some of which are
the renowned erotic carvings.Latter in the morning Transfer from hotel to

Ar: Varanasi at 1410 hours.
Meeting and assistance upon arrival and
transfer from airport to HOTEL enroute visiting the buried Buddhist city of
Sarnath, just outside Varanasi - it's as holy to the Buddhists as Varanasi
is to the Hindus. Here you will witness the ruins of a once flourishing
Buddhist monastery and then visit a fine museum which houses an excellent
collection of Buddhist art and sculpture.Arrive Varanasi and Check-in at

Day 10 :
VARANASI-DELHI Early morning, drive to Daswamedh Ghat and take a
boat ride on the sacred river Ganges. Continue by boat to see burning and
bathing Ghats.Followed by sightseeing tour of the holy city of Varanasi.
Visit to some of the many Hindu Temples that line the river Ganges. Stroll
along the narrow lanes and bazaars full of shops selling, among other
things, the world-famous Banaras Silks. Breakfast at the hotel.Latter in the

Day 03:
AURANGABAD Full day excursion to Ajanta & Ellora Caves (MONDAY
CLOSED) .
Ajanta Caves: You will visit most of the thirty temples,
which have been carved out of a cliff by Buddhist monks between the 2nd
century BC and 7th century AD. Ellora Caves: Visit the extraordinary cave
temples of Ellora (MONDAY CLOSED) which are about 30 kms from Aurangabad.
The sculptures are remarkable and the main feature of interest is the
Kailasa Temple. Chronologically, the Ellora caves start where the Ajanta
caves finish. In all there 34 caves at Ellora: 12 Buddhist, 17 Hindu & 5

Day 04: AURANGABAD - BOMBAY
Morning free for independent activities. Afternoon transfer from hotel to

Day 06: UDAIPUR- RANAKPUR-
JODHPUR Morning drive to Jodhpur (259 kms/6 hrs), enroute visiting
Ranakpur. Visit the famous Jain Temple. Its 29 halls are supported by 200
pillars, none of which are alike. The Temple abounds with intricate friezes
and sculptures. This tour includes visits to two more Jain temples and to
the Temple of the Sun God, with its erotic sculptures.

Day 07: JODHPUR- JAIPUR
Breakfast at the hotel.Morning sightseeing tour of Jodhpur - gateway to the
desert beyond and home of the Rathors of Marwa. Visit the Fort, rising up a
hilly scrap, built on the advice of a hermit, which overlooks the city in
the image of a long sentinel. Also visit Mandore Gardens - the ancient
capital of the State of Marwar is today set in the midst of a floral
garden.Afternoon transfer from hotel to the Railway Station in time for:

Afternoon, tour of Jaipur, popularly known as "The Pink City of
Rajasthan". Visit the unique Jantar Mantar Observatory, which was built
in the 1700's and yet even today, looks futuristic or almost surrealistic.

Day 15 : DELHI Breakfast at the hotel.Morning sightseeing tour

of The Taj Mahal. Drive past Safdarjang's Tomb (1753 AD). Visit the Qutab
Minar (72 m high) - the most perfect of towers of the Persian world. Within
the Qutab complex, amidst the ruins of Quwat-ul-Islam mosque, stands the
Iron pillar which has stood the variances of weather and has not rusted over
1500 years. The drive through New Delhi includes the Embassy area
(Diplomatic enclave), Government buildings and Connaught Place, New Delhi's
main shopping area.
